A new and exciting addition to the community is making tails wag and pet owners rejoice. Nick Papa, a Stanton Heights native with a passion for pups, has opened The Groom Lab, a dog grooming business located at 1802 Chislett St., the former site of Tim's barbershop.

The Groom Lab's journey began in Nick's basement during the Covid pandemic. Faced with limited options for professional grooming during 2020, Nick took matters into his own hands. What started as a personal grooming endeavor for his three beloved Yorkshire Terriers quickly grew into a passion project.

The name "The Groom Lab" was born out of a playful joke as Nick referred to his basement grooming sessions as experiments in a lab. As demand for his services grew among family and friends, Nick transitioned from his basement setup to working at a local grooming shop. Subsequently, he operated out of a fully-equipped mobile unit, ready to bring his grooming skills directly to pet owners' homes.

Now, seizing the opportunity to set up shop in a brick-and-mortar location, The Groom Lab is poised to become a local hub for canine care. Nick still has plans to utilize his mobile unit for on-the-go appointments, providing flexibility and convenience for pet owners.

The Groom Lab offers a range of grooming services at reasonable prices. Nick's dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in his convenient operating hours – Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm, and extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm.

Beyond regular hours, Nick is committed to accommodating his clients, accepting calls and texts for appointments outside of normal business hours. This flexibility ensures that pet owners can schedule grooming sessions at their convenience.
